- Your patient portal is a secure online website which, provides you 24-hour access to your health information and medical records. We want you to be actively involved in your own health care! In the Patient Portal you can schedule an appointment, request prescription refills, ask questions from your recent visit, update your medical history, view your pathology reports, and print your medical records. EMAIL OR CALL THE OFFICE FOR ACCESS TO YOUR PORTAL TODAY! The patient portal is designed to function optimally in either Chrome or Firefox Browsers. Your portal must be activated before your Teledermatology visit.

Virtually connect with your provider from the comfort and safety of your home or work, on your computer, or using your smart phone. This technology provides us the ability to address some of the common conditions we treat in Dermatology such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, spots of concern*, and skin or wound infections. However, not all visits can happen through our Teledermatology platform such as full skin exams, skin cancer screenings and procedures. (*An in-office visit may still be required for diagnosis and/or treatment). To determine if your individual needs can be addressed with a Teledermatology visit, please contact us.

- How do I schedule a Teledermatology visit? Call us at 808-323-2608 or send us an email info@islanddermatologyllc.com requesting a visit or you can contact us through your patient portal and start an E-Visit or request an appointment.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY TELEDERMATOLOGY VISIT IS SCHEDULED?
- You will need an active Patient Portal. If you do not already have access to your portal the receptionist will create your portal while scheduling your appointment. You will receive an email within 15 - 20 minutes after the portal is set up for you, which contains the following - Links to download the PocketPatient™ app from either the Play store (Android) or the App Store (Apple); instructions on how to use the app; the URL for our office (islandderm.ema.md) which, is required to log into the app to conduct your Teledermatology visit and your username which will be the email you provided us. If the email is not in your inbox, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. If you still have not received the email to the portal, please call our office for further assistance 808-323-2608.
HOW DO I START MY TELEDERMATOLOGY VISIT?
- After you have installed the app, log in using our URL (islandderm.ema.md) and your name and DOB (date of birth). CLICK/SELECT "Join Video Visit". THIS LINK IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONCE YOUR PROVIDER HAS INITIATED YOUR VISIT AND WILL ONLY BE ACTIVE FOR 10 MINUTES AFTER INITIATED!
